Developing Nigerian Players
It is well known that sport is a powerful tool in shaping human behaviour. The aim of the Clubs is the physical and mental development of school children through football. The players will enjoy a unique experience, which develops confidence, motivation and maturity, and teaches the value of teamwork on and off the pitch. The emphasis is always on development rather than results, and each player receives the individual attention they need.
Parental Workshops
Parents play a crucial role in childrens' football, and the Club provides education and advice for parents. The workshops cover a range of issues from advice on buying footwear to issues such as injury identification and treatment, nutrition, conduct and drug awareness.
Physiotherapy
All players are regularly assessed by a Chartered Physiotherapist to identify and address problems, particularly in posture, core stability, flexibility, and joint function, and to provide players with corrective exercise programmes. Through the implementation of risk assessment and injury prevention strategies the Clubs can address problems of overuse and recurrent injuries. The profiling of young players can also maximise a player's potential and enhance performance in areas such as speed and acceleration.
Pro Club Trials
Elite Soccer has developed links with several Premiership and League Clubs around the world. Each season a number of players go for trials, and several have joined professional clubs. We hope that more players will be joining Academies and Centres of Excellence in the future.
Progress Reports
Parents receive termly progress reports. These give a verbal in depth review of the progress that has been made, as well as outlining areas that the coaches feel need attention in the future. The reports not only give details of the player's on the pitch activities, but also examine the development of the player including progress in the psychological workshops and physiotherapy sessions. The reports also offer parents an opportunity to ask any questions to the Coaching Staff. The physiotherapists will also send a written report to parents, with details of the player's development.
Psychological Work
The players take part in psychological workshops. These deal with their own personal development, not only on the football pitch, but also in their everyday lives. The workshops combine a variety of topics, depending on the players stage of development, but include areas such as goal setting, imagery, improving concentration, dealing with distractions and building self confidence.
Qualified Coaches
All our coaches are highly qualified, experienced and dedicated. Holding FA and N.I.S coaching awards (both outfield and goalkeeping), they have experience of working with school children, as well as elite players. Their friendly attitutude creates an ideal learning environment
