AFRICAN STARS ELITE SOCCER CLUB

African Stars Sports International management, offers every players individual attention from it's staff which consists of NIS qualified coaches (both outfield and goalkeeping) and Lagos FA qualified psychologist and a Chartered Physiotherapist. By playing with and against players of a similar standard, using the latest technology, and through outstanding coaching in an unique learning environment, players are able to improve and develop during their time at the Club.

All Elite Soccer players will not only develop and improve their game, but will also compete in International Tournaments. In their first year the players will play in the Dana Cup in Denmark, the third biggest football tournament in the World. The following year, the players will represent Nigeria in the annual Gothia World Youth Cup. Over 1600 teams from around 100 countries around the world attend this prestigious tournament, which includes an Olympic style Opening Ceremony attended by over 45,000 people. The tournament finals are played in the Ullevi Stadium, home of Gothenburg FC and venue for the year 2004 UEFA Cup Final, ensuring that this tournament is an experience that no player will ever forget!

The Gothia World Youth Cup

At the end of the Under 12 season each Regional team brings together it's two Under 12 7-a-side squads to form one 11-a-side team to compete in the Gothia World Youth Cup the following Summer. The Gothia World Youth Cup takes place in Gothenburg in Sweden. Around 1600 teams attend the tournament from nearly 100 countries each year. The week long tournament offers players the opportunity to compete against the best footballers from around the world. As well as the opportunity to represent Nigeria in the tournament, the players will meet and make friends with teams from different continents, religions and cultures. The tournament week is filled with activities, including an Olympic style Opening Ceremony watched by over 45,000 people. The tournament finals are held in the Ullevi stadium, home of Gothenburg FC, and host of the 2004 UEFA Cup Final. With previous spectators including the likes of Sven Goran Eriksson, this is the premier youth football tournament in the world.

The Dana Cup

Our Under 12 squad are divided into two 7-a-side teams. One of the teams competes in Dana Cup 1 and the other team competes in Dana Cup 2. Both tournaments are held in Denmark in July, and are very similar, although they are held a week apart.
Dana Cup 1 takes place in Frederikshavn in the very north of Denmark. The tournamanet has hosted nearly 6,000 teams from all continents of the world! Each summer Frederikshavn is visited by 300 girls and boys teams from 30 different nations. This international atmosphere makes the tournament a great multicultural event.

Dana Cup 2 takes place in Hjorring, situated just a few miles from the famous beaches of the west coast. The tournament attracts over 20,000 participants each year. All games are played on one of Northern Europe's most beautiful football areas, with 55 golf green football fields being used to play the tournament.
